The company is based in Manchester, UK and the Chief Executive Officer is Ian Brown. In 2016, Supriya Uchil joined Rentalcars.com as Chief Product Officer from Amazon (company). TravelJigsaw was founded in 2005 as a broker for car rentals from car rental companies around the world. Founded by four Airtours International Airlines/MyTravel Group executives, it was purchased by Booking Holdings in 2010 and then renamed. In 2016, Rideways was launched as a new division of Rentalcars.com, focusing on in-person pickup at airports, hotels and railway stations. In December 2017, the Rentalcars.com Mobile App was awarded Best Car Rental App in the World at the World Travel Awards Awards for the third year in a row, and in December 2017 Rentalcars.com was voted Top 20 in Glassdoor's Top 20 Locations to Work for 2018 at #16.
